What a beautiful home on St. Augustine beach! It was secluded and very relaxing. It was wonderful to see the sunrise and sunset each day from the balconies of this home & the walks on the beach were fabulous. Patty Kay was also a very attentive property manager.

BOTB is paradise!! Unobstructed view of the ocean and just steps to the beach!! This is exactly what we needed!! We walked for miles on the beach everyday! It was so quiet and peaceful! Magnificent views in every direction!! Can't wait to return!! Patty was wonderful and made our stay so enjoyable, comfortable and easy!! We will be back!

This is our second year spending time at Buddy on the Beach. As always it was so tranquil and just what we needed to need charge our batteries! The views from both sides of the house are absolutely phenomenal. It's not many places you can watch the sun rise and set from your own veranda. It's also so nice being able to watch the kids play in the sand from the house without having to actually be on the beach. The coastline had changed since the last time we stayed so we don't have access to the bird sanctuary to the north any longer but to the south there is marineland dolphin encounter which was a ton of fun. We spent 10 glorious days in this secluded beach front home. The furnishings and decor made it feel like home away from home. All amenities were provided (so many we wished we hadn't bothered packing so much - half our stuff didn't get unpacked from the car). Check in was a breeze as we were given the code well in advance of our arrival. The description of the property was on point but what we didn't expect was all the wild life! We say dolphins, there are sea turtle hatching grounds everywhere, we saw a manatee and sea turtles! Not to mention the bird sanctuary a short walk up the beach. We could keep and eye on the kids playing on the beach while enjoying a cup of coffee on the lanai. We saw the sun rise and set every day from our own private beach. This is a beautiful home and provided everything we needed for an amazing vacation. The property has absolutely stunning views and basically your own private beach. Please note: It is extremely important to share that although we had AWD and 4WD SUV's, we were still unable to access the property upon arrival and had to have one vehicle actually towed due to the undercarriage getting stuck in the sand. It is my understanding this is not always the case and the recent weather factors into the condition and ultimate accessibility of the property. I personally recommend a high undercarriage in addition to AWD and/or FWD. All of that being said, Patty was absolutely amazing. She was readily available, got right to us, came up with a solution to our problem, and saved the day. I cannot say enough about how kind and wonderful Patty was to us! Also, the property was definitely worth the hiccup!  
 
Reply: The key to driving on the beach sand is to go 10 - 15 miles an hour and do not stop until in home drive. Patty

Excellent rental property. Beautiful location, and very private beach. We saw fewer that 20 people per day walk by our house each day. Balconies on both sides of the house are wonderful spots to enjoy a glass of wine. The house is updated and the kitchen well outfitted. The hosts are also very attentive. The road to the house is rough (sand) and a 4 wheel drive vehicle is a must. We saw a few cars get stuck.

One word says it all, simply PARADISE! Had such an amazing time we extended for another week. Set up table and view of ocean while working was amazing! Levered club facilities for tennis pro sessions, personal training and cardio tennis clinic. Patty was exceptional. so responsive and helpful. Highly recommend! What more can you ask for with sunrise, sunset and beautiful ocean sand at your feet right right out the door!!!

What a beautiful property! We couldn't have asked for better views. It was so wonderful to wake up with a spectacular view of the ocean and enjoy family dinner while listening to the waves crash. This is a perfect spot to really get away from it all (while still being close enough to drive into the city). We enjoyed every second and hated to leave. We will definitely be back. PS- Buddy looks just like our family boxer who also enjoyed running free on the beach=). It was a perfect family vacation for all-adults, kids, and our Boxer pup.

Beautiful home with updated kitchen, steps from the beach. Definitely need 4WD but that is part of the draw. Gorgeous views - sunrise from the master bedroom. Plenty of beach towel and water toys! Great to escape the crowds. Patty and Harry were great and very responsive.

We had an excellent time! The house is right on the beach, and the beach is incredible. sandy and few people. House was super clean, and we enjoyed watching sunrise and sunset from the decks each day. As other guests have indicated, a four-wheel-drive is definitely required to access the property. Property manager Patty was super responsive and very helpful when we had questions.

My husband and I have stayed in several "rental homes" all over the world and none can compare to this beach house. Everything from booking to checking out was without issue. The property manager is kind and respectful without being intrusive. The property and the location is exactly how it is described and pictured. Although the location was amazingly peaceful it was also fun and we felt as we had the beach to ourselves. The beach house is immaculate, spacious, and has more than the bare necessities (e.g. full kitchen, plenty of towels, extra blankets, board games, EVERYTHING you may need for the beach, etc.) for your stay. We were amazed by the thoughtfulness of the owners to offer so much for the guests to make it a memorable time.

Will start by saying one word...AWESOME! My wife and I wanted a little bit quieter stay in the St Aug area as we have been going to these Beaches for many many years. This was it. We couldn't have been happier with our selection. In all our travels, we have found many VRBO pictures are sometimes a little misleading and we check in, and are disappointed. Not BOTB! I can't tell you how close you are to this beautiful, private beach. The sand and water are wonderful and the beach really does feel like it's all yours! Having said that, it's a nice stroll down to where you can be around more people if you want that, but we wanted our own beach! The house was perfect too. Very spacious and all the bells and whistles for upgrades. I will say if you stay here, all you need to bring is your clothes, and yourself. They have everything else. They provide beach chairs, umbrellas, games, boogie boards, grill, et. You name it, it's there! That makes packing a lot easier! One concern we had going in, was "are we too secluded?" The answer is NO. It is a very easy and nice drive to the middle of St Aug town center ( we went 3 of our 7 days) , yet also explored south and found some very close, very good restaurants. Grocery store was near (Publix), and again, good restaurants, and also good local dive/seafood bars (which we LOVE). Things to do near the house include Washington Oaks and Marineland. Very cool. Patty was incredibly easy to work with and emailed, called, and texted back any time we needed something answered. I'm usually a tough grader but I really would give this place a 9.999999999. Thank you. Those two words just don't seem like enough when I think of our recent stay. From the beginning, the managerment owner was exceptional. As first time renters and skeptical of the process, she remained patient with all of our questions and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable with our decision and then welcomed us with such generous hospitality. "Buddy on the Beach" was a dream come true. The property is clean and stocked with all of the amenities one could want while on vacation. The beach is beautiful and virtually empty, so we felt like the whole shore was just for us!! There isn't a bad view from the house in any direction! Sunrises on one side and sunsets on the other!! Although we did not use our private access to the Marsh Creek Country Club this time, their staff were extremely helpful and we look forward to next time - we just didn't want to leave the property! The house provided all of us plenty of space to relax and unwind when we wanted and then perfect pockets for gathering for eating or playing games. We couldn't have picked a better spot or property manager for our first rental and I am so happy it was Patty!
